Week 41.2008: Crossing Over

Crossing Over was taken on my second trip into the mountains in as many weeks. After seeing on the weather that Central City was getting snow overnight I decided to head up there early the next morning. I wanted to try and capture the clash between fall and winter that this early snow might provide. What I found was 2 inches of snow and fog covering everything. I wandered around and to exit one of the cemeteries I had to walk over these stairs. I took the shot because I liked the way that the back light created a silhouette against the fog and snow.
